”ACPE Texas Pharmacy Association (154) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Continuing education will be provided to participants who completed all course requirements.

Description: This presentation will give immunizing pharmacists XXXXXXX their full 3-hour CE credit and focus on updating them in the major aspects of immunizations. It will also familiarize the pharmacist with post-exposure treatment recommendations for vaccine preventable diseases. The program is designed to enhance learning through interactive tools such as Turning Point, clickers and hands-on administration technique.

At the completion of this activity, pharmacists and technicians will be able to: 1. Identify changes or updates to the January 2018 immunization schedules for person aged 0 through 18 years and adults. 2. Evaluate the most current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations. 3. Evaluation various questions that have been submitted to the CDC website as well as self-submitted by participants. 4. Determine appropriate answers for the questions that commonly arise and discuss related counseling points and key considerations. 5. Review CDC best practice guidelines. 6. Discuss vaccines under investigation or in the pipeline. 7. Review the ImmTrac2 website.

This lesson is an application-based CE activity and is targeted to pharmacists and technicians. This program has been approved for 3 contact hours of continuing education credit (0.3 CEUs).
