”ACPE Texas Pharmacy Association (154) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Continuing education will be provided to participants who completed all course requirements.

Description: It is a time of transformation for pharmacy and healthcare business models, and for the public policy and political arenas that shape them. With patient care remaining the focus, Steve will discuss opportunities for pharmacy to enhance its role as the face of neighborhood healthcare, to continue to innovate, and to work together to anticipate and address future dynamics.

At the completion of this activity, pharmacists and technicians will be able to:
1. Describe the public policy issues that will impact pharmacy.
2. Discuss changes that can be made to better utilize pharmacists to improve patient outcomes.
3. Summarize steps pharmacy can take to improve and serve as meaningful contributors to patient care.
