Description: The Power-Point based presentation will include a brief history of clinical pharmacy services in the community pharmacy including MTM, travel immunizations, and discharge counseling opportunities as well as provide information to pharmacists how to create physician-based clinical pharmacy protocols and how to bill for clinical pharmacy services. The presentation is interactive and requires active participation from audience members in order to take home actual sample clinical pharmacy protocols and billing documents.

At the completion of this activity, pharmacists and technicians will be able to:
1. Define Clinical Pharmacy Services
2. Describe the historical expansion and lawful procurement of clinical services in a community pharmacy setting.
3. Identify the requirements to offer clinical pharmacy services in a community setting.
4. Recognize the steps needed to establish a physician-based clinical pharmacy proptocol in the community pharmacy setting.
5. Develop a sample physician-based clinical pharmacy protocol for use in community pharmacies.
6. Identify and document the requirements for billing for clinical pharmacy services in the community setting.
