CBD Facts: How to Answer Your Patient's Questions

Summary

Do your patients ask you about CBD? Is there a good objective clinical reference to utilize when you make a recommendation? This CE program will discuss the history of hemp and CBD, the differences between CBD and THC and the legality of possessing and/or selling CBD products in Texas.

At the completion of this activity, the pharmacists and technicians will be able to:
1. Discuss the history of CBD.
2. Define the Endocannabinoid System, CBD and THC.
3. Review the therapeutic use, dosing and side effects of CBD.
4. Report the legality of CBD.
5. Demonstrate how to recommend a safe, effective and legal CBD product.

”ACPETexas Pharmacy Association (154) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Continuing education will be provided to participants who completed all course requirements. This lesson is an application-based CE activity and is targeted to pharmacists and technicians. This program has been approved for 1.0 contact hours of continuing education credit (0.1 CEUs).
