Advocating for Clinical Pharmacy Services to the C-Suite

Published by The Pediatric Pharmacy Association and Texas Pharmacy Association

Heather Weese PharmD, MSHI, BCPS, BCPPS will conduct a 1-hour knowledge-based continuing education webinar program. Advocating to the C-suite can be challenging due to the constantly changing priorities of the hospital environment. This program will help create a framework for effective advocacy for clinical pharmacy services to the c-suite by exploring c-suite objectives and motivations, use of champions, and use of data-driven justification strategies.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Describe potential motivators for C-suite executives when considering the addition of a new service or practice.
2. Evaluate potential stakeholders and champions for the new service and identify mechanisms to facilitate their engagement.
3. Utilize data-driven strategies to justify the new service.
