”ACPE Texas Pharmacy Association (154) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Continuing education will be provided to participants who completed all course requirements.

Description: Federal rules and regulations are constantly being updated to help address the paucity of care in mental health. Examples include the 21st Century Cures Act, which requires equal mental and physical health requirements in insurance coverage. Despite the legislative push, gaps in care still remain. Pharmacists are poised to help fill that gap by understanding the continuum of care – to pharmacist-led services from the quality metrics that drive innovation.

At the completion of this activity, the pharmacists will be able to:
1. Describe the current landscape of mental health care in the United States
2. Understand the role of quality metrics in mental health care
3. Customize patient care with pharmacotherapy updates
4. Implement pharmacist-led mental health services

His primary responsibility is working directly with measurement development teams (MDTs), task forces, and stakeholder advisory panels (SAPs) to develop new measures.
